The Mythic Mines Week 1 Recap

Overview:
This week marked a strong launch of Mythic Mines. Our infrastructure is now live, core systems are implemented, and the server is open for public testing. Let’s walk through what we achieved and what’s next.

Achievements

Our team successfully built out the server’s backbone. The VPS is fully configured, and the Pterodactyl control panel is now operational—streamlining deployment and management. The in-game experience is shaping up quickly: the main spawn area is complete, the chat system is integrated with custom commands, and Towny has been activated, enabling players to found and manage their own towns.

We also introduced quest: both personal player quests and daily missions are in place, encouraging repeat engagement. Also to maintain a safe chat environment, we add our chat censoring system Finally Early development has begun on Nexo, Allowing for custom items, GUI, glyphs, and more laying groundwork for upcoming content.

Team & Community

This week, we on-boarded two new staff members. Juniper joined as an admin and Comfy as a developer—both of whom have already begun contributing to updates and server tooling. Speaking of which, the website was updated to version 0.26, featuring enhanced stability and fresh content.

We also flipped the switch on public testing. The server is officially open—early participants are already logging in, stress-testing features, and offering valuable feedback.

What’s Next (Week 2 Preview)

Our focus next week shifts toward deepening player engagement and enhancing overall polish. We'll begin by rolling out custom GUIs, crafting intuitive and visually appealing interfaces for shops, quests, and in-game menus to improve user experience. In parallel, we’ll introduce a player ranking system, complete with tiered permissions and exclusive perks designed to motivate active participation. Companion pets are also on our roadmap, bringing life and camaraderie with tamable, interactive creatures. Next To help newcomers, a comprehensive tutorial book will be developed, guiding players through core mechanics and server features. Finally, community cohesion is our priority—so we’re implementing seamless integration between the website and Discord. Using DiscordSRV, we’ll sync chat channels, alerts, and login notifications across platforms, unifying the Mythic Mines experience
